Globally renowned customer has engaged Kummaya to derive concepts for a handheld remote control for a complex medical device.

The product requirement include IP54 enclosure for water and dust ingress protection, raw drop survival requirements and tough EMI/EMC protection requirements.

Concepts were done based on the user experience study detailed by the customer and then converted those concepts to engineering feasible designs. Several concepts were done including one in Magnesium thixomolding process.

The most interesting part of this project was the project management techniques used to interface with the customer who is located on the other side of globe and to team up with the electronics hardware & software team from another firm.
